I work in stained glass. I have done lamp work beadmaking in the past, but don’t have studio space for it. Stained glass helps with my hot glass withdrawal symptoms.

Over the Furlough/Shut down I cut a whole bunch of glass pieces (I have yet to use them all!). The patterns that inspire me are found everywhere. Park benches, pine cones, music, math, book covers…

I have battled depression since adolescence. I engage with the beauty of the world as a way to keep myself here. Intricate pattern is meditative both to create and to study. It is one of the things that helps me find equilibrium.
