How do new guidelines affect my visit to Tacoma Public Library?

With new public health guidelines released on May 13 by CDC, opens a new window and state officials, opens a new window, Tacoma Public Library would like to communicate what patrons can expect while using their libraries:

  • For now, no changes will be in place during your visit to Tacoma Public Library
  • TPL will continue to require patrons and employees to wear masks and practice social distancing while in the libraries
  • We continue to offer library visits at some locations by appointment or walk-in. TPL To Go curbside services are available at all locations by appointment or during open hours
  • Services vary by location; please check our TPL Now page to plan your visit

As the state moves toward implementing additional changes by June 30, Tacoma Public Library anticipates making more adjustments as we work to increase library access and services.

Thank you for your support as we continue to expand library services.
