Check your blood pressure where you check out books
Tacoma Public Library is partnering with the American Heart Association’s Libraries with Heart initiative to offer blood pressure monitoring kits.
The Tacoma community can now use a blood pressure monitoring kit within a library or check out a blood pressure monitoring kit from any of our eight neighborhood locations. Each kit includes an Association-validated monitor and cuff, easy-to-follow instructions, and guidance on understanding readings and tips for improving blood pressure. Instruction materials are available in English and Spanish. Patrons are welcome to keep the blood pressure logs, referral sheets, and magnets from the kit.
