St. Leo Food Connection provides summer meals for kids at Main Library
From June 24–August 28, 2026, Tacoma Public Library is partnering with St. Leo Food Connection by adding Main Library as a Summer Meal location.
Youth ages 18 and under can pick up a healthy lunch from 1:30–1:45 pm Monday through Friday in front of Main Library, located at 1102 Tacoma Avenue South.
Tacoma Public Library is open Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Although the library is closed on Monday, St. Leo will still distribute meals from in front of the library.
St. Leo Food Connection’s Summer Meal program focuses on providing nutrition for children during the summer months. In past summers, this program has been able to deliver healthy lunches to several hundred children daily at community centers and apartment complexes. Tacoma Public Library is excited to partner and provide a new location for free summer meals.
