Illuminating Ideas for Images

Did you know that in addition to the more than 35,000 images available online through the Tacoma Public Library’s Image Archive, the library’s Northwest Room collection contains thousands more photos, many of which haven’t been digitized? How can you access them? Visit the Northwest Room and browse the more than 200 binders with pages and pages of available pictures. There is even a handy subject index for easy browsing. Collections include photographs by The Richards Studio, Chapin Bowen, Marvin D. Boland, Virna Haffer and many more. Copies of these photos can be made available, just ask the Northwest Room staff for more information.
