Our Summer Reading Challenge ends Saturday, Aug. 13!
Make sure to complete your reading logs either on Beanstack or the paper version available in branches, and turn them in to receive your completion prizes (as supplies last) and be entered into a raffle. Thank you to everyone who participated this year! We had so much fun connecting with you to explore Oceans of Possibilities this summer.
The Salishan Storyfest on Saturday, Aug. 13 is the first event of its kind, and we are so excited to welcome members of the Salishan and Eastside communities to record their stories. The Storyfest is part of the efforts of our Community Archives Center to address the gaps and silences in the local history record through a community-driven, participatory process. Look forward to more events of this kind in Tacoma's neighborhoods.
