2022 Summer Reading

Summer Reading Challenge 2022: Oceans of Possibilities

The 2022 Summer Reading Challenge has ended. Please check back in June 2023 for information about the 2023 Summer Reading Challenge.

Challenge Dates: June 4 - August 13

Welcome to Tacoma Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge 2022! We’re delighted to have readers of all ages join us. This year’s theme is “Oceans of Possibilities!”

You can use a virtual or paper reading log to track your progress. Log your reading and activities on a computer or mobile device with Beanstack, opens a new window. If you would like to use a paper log download and print one here, or stop by any branch to pick one up. Find the Reading Log for your age level and fill it in by reading and completing fun activities. Books, eBooks, magazines, graphic novels, and audiobooks can all be used to meet the reading requirements.

Stop by any library for a sign-up prize when you’ve started the challenge. You’ll also receive a prize when you are finished!

You can check out books and more from any of our eight locations. You can also access digital reading materials with your library card by using the Overdrive/Libby, and hoopla apps! Find everything you need to know about downloading and using these free apps on our A-Z Resources Page. The last day to complete the Summer Reading Club is August 13, and the last day to pick up prizes is Wednesday, August 31.

Thank you for joining Summer Reading Challenge with TPL this summer!

Tracking Reading with Beanstack or a Reading Log

There are two ways to track your reading and activities this summer. Once you create a Beanstack account or pickup/download a Reading Log, make sure to stop by a branch to pickup your signup prize.

When you've completed your Beanstack or paper Reading Log, stop by a branch to collect your completion prize. Prizes are available while supplies last. The last day to complete the challenge is Saturday, August 13. The last day for Beanstack users to pickup prizes is Wednesday, August 31.
