Archie Mondeau, former Tacoma Chief of Police, outside Vandes Fish Co with one of the largest steelhead trout ever taken on light tackle. After 30 minutes of hard wrangling, Mr. Mondeau landed the 24 1/2 pound fish, which is over 40 1/4 inches long. He caught the fish on the Queets River, 1/2 mile below Pheeney Creek near Hubble's Cabins.
