Summer Reading Wrap up

Summer has come to an end and with it comes the conclusion of Tacoma Library’s 2016 Summer Reading Challenge. Thanks to everyone who participated in this year’s summer reading challenge.  We had over 3,780 children, teens and adults sign up this year and they read for a cumulative of 1,314,135 minutes. Wow!

The library had a great time with many fantastic performers this year.  We LAUGHED with Eric Haines & His One Man Band, CRINGED with Roberto the Magnificent’s pogo jumping skills, CREATED art with Collage Artist Michael Albert, GIGGLED with Vikki Gasko Green, Ventriloquist, DANCED with The Miho & Diego Duo, BUILT with the Bricks 4 Kidz Lego Engineering Workshop and spent two days DRESSED for the Atomic Comicon.

We ask that participants please take a moment to give feedback about this year’s summer reading program! Complete the survey here, opens a new window, so that we can better serve you next year.

We look forward to seeing everyone next year and remember:  Keep Reading!
