One Book, One Coast

Tacoma Public Library is excited to join over 140 participating library systems for the West Coast’s biggest book club: One Book, One Coast. This year’s main title selection is George Takei’s bestselling graphic memoir “They Called Us Enemy” that recounts his childhood imprisoned within American concentration camps in World War II.

We are excited to feature local programs including the book release for local author Tamiko Nimura's "A Place for What We Lose."

By connecting readers across California, Oregon and Washington through one shared title, One Book, One Coast highlights the power of libraries and stories in bringing people together for conversation and reflection.
