Library Card Application
Signing up for a card online allows Tacoma residents and people in our reciprocal service areas immediate access to our resources with no need to get a physical card.
Please note, our online form verifies based on residential address and may not work for everyone who qualifies for our Tacoma or Neighbor card (for example JBLM servicepeople or City of Tacoma employees who live in surrounding areas.) We encourage you to visit one of eight branches to find out more!
Our Paid cards and Community cards require visiting one of our branches to sign-up.
A successful online card application gets you immediate access to:
- place up to 25 holds and check out up to 100 physical items
- borrow eBooks and audiobooks
- download or stream movies, TV shows, magazines and more
