FAQs

There are two main ways to find eBooks:

• For the most complete listing of our eBook collections, go to Tacoma Library's OverDrive (Libby) website, opens a new window. You can also browse the Tacoma Public Library collection using those services' Apps, opens a new window.
• eBooks can also be found in the library catalog by searching the term "ebooks, opens a new window" in the library catalog.  (Please note that at this time the catalog does not list every eBook in our collection, nor does it offer all of the features available through the eBook website.)

We offer downloadable audiobooks from Overdrive.  There are two main ways to find them:

• For the most complete listing go to the Overdrive, opens a new window website or Libby app directly.
• A selection of downloadable audiobooks can also be found by searching the term "downloadable audiobooks, opens a new window" in our library catalog.

There are several ways to get help with eBooks and downloadable audiobooks:

• The OverDrive Help, opens a new window page is a great place to start for OverDrive questions.  They offer an extensive overview of common problems and solutions.
• Send an email to Tacoma Library's eResources Support Team using eResources@tacomalibrary.org, opens a new window.
• Visit your local branch, opens a new window and ask for help from one of our friendly staff members.

• A selection of the streaming movie collection can also be found in the library catalog by searching the library catalog for "streaming movies, opens a new window."  (Please note that at this time the catalog does not list every streaming movie in our collection.)
