“T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo on Saturday, May 7, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Tacoma Dome. At the booth you can sign up and get a library card, listen to special storytimes with Maisy and Madeline, meet the Daffodil Princesses, and test your knowledge of Tacoma’s vibrant history. Library staff will be distributing free bookmarks, book bags and more (while supplies last)! The event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.
Visit Tacoma Public Library’s booth at theDesigned to be an interactive community event, the “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo will feature live performances, demonstrations, activities, games and prizes for the entire family. Children of all ages will also have an opportunity to meet Rhubarb from the Tacoma Rainiers, and see many types of City trucks and vehicles up close. There will also be a monster truck at the event.
The “T-Town: Play, Explore, Learn” City Services Expo is part of an ongoing effort to raise community awareness about the services delivered by the various departments at the City of Tacoma, educate the community about how city government works, and offer an opportunity for community members to share ideas and feedback about how the City should utilize its resources.
