Lucky Day is a collection of highly popular books that are available for immediate check-out. If you find a book on the Lucky Day shelf, you can check it out even when there are multiple holds on other copies of a "Lucky Day" title. It’s your Lucky Day!
Things to Know about the Lucky Day Collection:
- Each month we will add a few new, popular titles representing various authors and subject matters.
- Lucky Day books are available at all eight of our neighborhood branches.
- The books in our Lucky Day Collection are viewable in the catalog: Current Lucky Day Titles, opens a new window Or stop by a Lucky Day branch display to discover what’s available!
- Lucky Day books can be checked out for 21 days.
- Renewals are not allowed on Lucky Day books. We want as many readers as possible to enjoy the collection.
- Lost or Damaged Lucky Day books are subject to replacement charges.
- You can check out two Lucky Day books at a time, and they count as part of the 100-item limit.
- Holds are not allowed on Lucky Day books. If you already have the book on hold in your account, it’s your Lucky Day! You do not have to cancel your hold but you have the option to do so as a courtesy to people who are waiting for the book. You can cancel your hold online or ask a staff person at the service desk to assist you.
