Tacoma Public Library seeks new partner for Community Hub
Pre-Proposal Meeting scheduled for December 6
TACOMA, WASH. —Tacoma Public Library, opens a new window (TPL) invites proposals from mission-aligned organizations to join its innovative Community Hub at Main Library. Through a Request for Proposals (RFP No. LB25-0285F) issued today by the City of Tacoma, TPL seeks a new partner-tenant to provide free or low-barrier services, programs, or activities that enrich the lives of Tacoma residents.
A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 12 p.m. in Room 222 at the Main Library (1102 Tacoma Ave S.). Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend to learn more about the Community Hub and application process.
The Community Hub is a collaborative space located on the second floor of the Main Library’s modern wing. It currently houses organizations such as Remakery Tacoma, Tacoma Tool Library, and Write253—each offering unique, community-centered services. The available 886 sq. ft. space includes access to shared amenities such as flexible meeting rooms, a tenant break room, and a ~2,000 sq. ft. open area for events and programming. A dedicated entrance allows for extended hours of operation beyond the library’s operating hours.
In exchange for below-market rent, the selected partner will be expected to provide at least 40 hours of free public programming annually that aligns with TPL’s strategic goals and complements existing services.

Submissions are due by 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Proposals may be submitted via email to sendbid@tacoma.gov or in person at the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North (3628 S. 35th Street).
