Tacoma History Jeopardy at the Moore Branch

Local author and historian Deb Freeman led an enthusiastic group through some of the most interesting aspects in Tacoma History at the Moore Branch of Tacoma Public Library. Afterward participants demonstrated what they’d learned by playing Tacoma History Jeopardy. Subjects included bridges, schools, museums, animals, sports, and icons. We learned that Tubby the dog was the only causality when Galloping Gertie collapsed in November of 1940 and that the Mars Candy Company actually started right here in Tacoma.
