Virtual Assistance – TPL is here to help!

Library staff can help you file for unemployment virtually. We can help you:

  • Set up an account with SecureAccess Washington (SAW)
  • Look up an existing SecureAccess Washington Account
  • Create an e-services account
  • Apply for unemployment benefits
  • Submit a weekly claim
  • Understand Pandemic Unemployment Assistance under the Stimulus Bill

Additional services available include:

  • Assistance in completing Census 2020
  • Providing referrals to local service providers
  • Technology instruction and assistance, including use of the Library’s eResources

Staff are available for virtual one-on-one assistance during the following times. City of Tacoma employees will be given priority service. All others will be assisted on a first-come, first-serve basis. To connect with us, you’ll need a computer with an internet connection and/or a phone.

Our hours of service are:

  • Tuesdays from 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Wednesdays from 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Thursdays from 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Fridays from 9 am – 5 pm.
  • Saturdays from 9 am – 5 pm. (Please note, we will not be available on Saturday, May 23 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.)
