Exporting Your Old Checkout History

What's so great about the new library website?  Everything!  Improved searching, more features, better access to library services, and the list goes on. 

Our new website also includes a completely new “My Account” system. Your reading/checkout history will not automatically migrate over to our new website and “My Account” system. You can export your old reading/checkout history (if you opted in to this feature) into your new My Account. Here’s how:

  • Log into your Old Account, opens a new window
  • You will see your old Reading History displayed on the screen
  • Click on Export My Reading List
  • You will have several options for the format and delivery of the list. We recommend using the Brief Display format and either email the list to yourself or save it to local disk. This will save the list as a text file, which you can then transfer to Word or Excel.

Tacoma Public Library’s new website and “My Account” system will not have an automatic reading/checkout history component. Instead your account will have ‘shelves’ giving you full control and many options for saving titles for the future. For instance, you can save titles to your 'Completed Shelf,' serving as your new reading history.
